We're working in partnership with Surrey County Council and 6 other local councils - Waverley, Guildford, Elmbridge, Reigate and Banstead, Spelthorne and Surrey Heath - to offer a range of decarbonisation support and funding for small and medium businesses.
The business decarbonisation scheme offers help and support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to:
- decarbonise
- save on energy costs
- understand their carbon footprint
- how to drive down their emissions and aim for net zero
Who can apply
Eligible organisations must have:
- a trading address in one of the participating Surrey boroughs
- been trading for at least 2 years in the UK
- a turnover of less than £44million
- less than 250 employees
- received less than £315,000 in subsidies over the last 3 years
The scheme is only available in the participating boroughs:
- Woking
- Guildford
- Waverley
- Elmbridge
- Reigate and Banstead
- Spelthorne
- Surrey Heath
What's on offer
If your organisation is eligible, you can get:
- a free decarbonisation assessment to identify potential energy savings
- a decarbonisation loan to invest in a solar panel installation or other decarbonisation project
- access to a free decarbonisation course to plan your organisation's sustainability journey
- access to an online calculator to calculate your organisation's carbon footprint
Before applying for a business decarbonisation loan, you must undertake a business decarbonisation assessment. This will determine eligible projects. A link will then be sent to you to apply directly to the loan provider.
