About the Chamber
Formed in 1899, Woking Chamber of Commerce is the oldest independent Chamber in Surrey.
We represent the interests of hundreds of businesses and organisations from blue chip companies and SMEs to charities and individual members.
The Chamber consists of a friendly, professional group of business owners, directors, managers, and staff who meet regularly, not only to promote our businesses but, as importantly, to help and support one another.
We aim to further the economic development of the borough by providing businesses with a platform to connect with each other and develop mutually beneficial relationships that will support their growth and success. We are also the recognised and respected voice of business in Woking. Through our close connection with Woking Council and their representatives who sit on our Chamber committees, we serve as spokespeople and representatives of the local business community.
Our ability to do this is dependent on us hearing from and listening to our members’ and non-members’ needs, concerns, and priorities. This is why we run regular networking events where we can actively engage with each other and discuss these valuable topics. We understand the demands of business, so we make it as easy possible for our members and visitors to attend the meetings and events that we run. And the executive committee are always happy to hear from businesses at any time between these meetings.
The Chamber has a president, vice president and a treasurer, a business development director, admin staff, plus an executive committee and three sub-committees comprised of some 40 members, all helping to make the Chamber flourish and grow.
Woking Chamber is almost certainly one of the most proactive Chambers in the South East.
Each year we meet regularly with the Borough Council, organise events and run meetings and hold an annual B2B exhibition.
